AVA is an organization that advocates for women's rights regarding abortion and contraception. AVA wants to bring the numbers to light: what percentage of the approximately one million Dutch women with an IUD experience extreme pain during and after insertion? And how many avoid getting an IUD altogether out of fear of this pain? With this data, the AVA foundation aims to start a conversation with medical professionals and push for better pain management. To fund thorough research by Ipsos, AVA launched a crowdfunding campaign—calling for a powerful campaign design that could be shared online and across social media.
